i think ethan is rounding out a bit. his favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk. he will usually choose chocolate milk over juice or water. the problem with him drinking so much milk is that it makes him too full sometimes to eat his food. he takes for-ev-er to eat.
ethan is really good at throwing a football. he likes to play catch with the nerf football that we have, and consistently throws spirals. they have some heat to them, too. i shrink back a bit when he winds up because i never know where or how hard his throw is going to be. he's also pretty good at catching the ball. it makes me happy that he likes playing with the football, but i'm not sure i could handle him playing organized football. i get so worried just thinking about him getting hit/tackled and likely injured.
his smile is still quite disarming. i love the dimple on the apple of his cheek when he smiles a real smile. he has learned to put his coat on by himself and has also learned to change his clothes on his own. the latter means that ethan will change his clothes on a whim - even it's the third time that day. i love that he is becoming more independent, but at the same time these things seem to be happening too fast.
soo...ethan has this awful habit of sticking his hand down his pants when he's tired. there will be nights where both hands will be shoved down his pants while sleeping. so disgusting. eric and i are trying to get him to stop, so we've offered some incentives: if you can go a whole day without sticking your hand down your pants you get a prize at the end of the day (usually 30 minutes of playing the wii). if you can go a whole week, then you can get a new wii game.
he made it 7 days before falling back on the habit. the nice thing is that isaiah is super encouraging to ethan because if ethan gets to play the wii, then so does isaiah. and if ethan gets a new wii game, then isaiah gets to play with it as well. he's actually doing pretty well, despite a couple set backs. once we can get this down, it's time to work on sucking on his finger....
