today was ethan's birthday party (his real birthday is tomorrow). an impromptu (small) celebration of the 3rd year of his life. we couldn't plan plan a party because we didn't know if xavier would be coming...so just some close friends and family helped make his birthday special. he wanted a batman themed party, so we decorated with batman balloons and streamers and he wore his batman baseball cap. i think he felt special. i hope he felt really special. he's definitely loving that he is 3 years old. for some reason he thinks that the next age he will be is 4-1/2...probably because that's how old isaiah is right now.

ethan LOVES isaiah. when he wakes up in the morning, the first thing out of his mouth is, "where's isaiah?" however, this past weekend, we had the guevaras staying over...so the first thing out of his mouth in the morning was, "where's luci?"

3 years old...in the blink of an eye he has become a little boy that talks in full sentences and is (for the most part) able to express himself verbally. he gives the BEST hugs and will knock you on your feet with his charm.
