dear ethan,

today you are two years and one day. it's hard to believe that you are already two!...but at the same time it's hard to believe that you're only two. we ask you how old you are and you say, "ethan!" we ask you to hold up two fingers and you hold up all five because you haven't quite mastered holding down your pinky and ring finger with your thumb.

you had a scooby-doo birthday party. you saw the decorations and said, "doo!" you also see pictures of scooby and say, "shaggy!" i'm not sure you quite knew that it was your birthday, but you seemed thrilled to see so much scooby-doo and to be able to eat the loads of candy in your goody bags. as you, isaiah, noah, and ellie sat outside on the patio happily blowing bubbles, you were also happy to give the bubble wand a taste. mmm!
