oh, ethan! growing so big so fast. i can't believe you're going to be a big brother soon. we still call you baby ethan!

ethan's this little man right now. bumpy scraped his head pretty bad at alvin's parents house after the wedding. he fell going down the steps on the patio. his scrape was on the top right corner of his forehead - exactly the spot where he gets all his bumps. it took a lot of will power to *not* pick at the scab that was healing so nicely...it actually fell off on its own a week later. (eric actually accused me of picking it off. "i wanted to pick the scab so bad," he said. how gross are we?) of course two days later, ethan fell in the garage and managed to scrape his head right over the scar. awesome. the scar is healing nicely once again, although not fast enough for me. i wanted to take isaiah and ethan in to get their pictures taken for christmas, but not with that big old scar on ethan's forehead.

ethan likes to dance. if you just clap clap clap or play a song, he moves his arms up and down like a conductor and spins in a circle. "dahn dahn dahn," he says (dance dance dance). he also likes to pucker his lips and kiss the air when you ask for a kiss. more words that he knows:

"ahh gah" (all gone)
"moo" (moo)
"roar" (roar)
"stah" (star)
"baybee!!" (baby - he knows there's a baby in my belly)
"hi" and "bye"
"mama"
"dada"
"ay-yah" (isaiah)

he has this thing at night where he NEEDS to have his hand in your armpit to go to sleep. it can't just be that skin to skin contact between your hand and his, or your arm and his...it must be his hand in your armpit. yeah, it's pretty uncomfortable. but it is so nice to cuddle...i get sad when i think about moving him and isaiah to their own room. it's inevitable though, because the family bed is not going to a great option once owen comes along!
