my dear sweet baby boy,

i can't believe you're one already! you were nine days late coming into the world...in fact, we were going to make you come out on july 20, whether you wanted to or not. i just could not hold you in my belly any longer. you were getting so big! so obediently, you came out on your own.

you were born at 7:24 in the evening and weighed in at 7 lb. 8 oz. you were very sweet right from the beginning. only crying when you needed us and finding your finger to suck on so we wouldn't have to give you a binky. just like your kuya, you loooved to be cuddled (and still do!).

kuya loved you right away! he would say "oh, baby brudder, so cute?" isaiah always wanted to hold you and would get mad if anyone else tried to take you away from him. you've been a tough kid to take all the bumping around from him. perhaps it's because of your easygoing personality.

happy first birthday, ethan! thanks for bringing us so much joy. it's more joy and happiness than we could ever ask for. i love you to pieces!!!
