9.8.09 ethan's first day of school!

st. anne started a 3-year old preschool this year, so it was an easy decision to enroll ethan in that program. not only would i not have to drop off at two different schools, but ethan is just a couple classrooms down from isaiah. his teacher's name is ms. gore who is a brand new teacher. he's going to school on tuesday and thursday mornings.

day one started off great, and it looked like he would handle preschool with no sweat. we got him settled into his seat with his star nametag around his neck and he was good to go. we made the mistake of checking in on him after we dropped isaiah off at his classroom.
[sobbing] "i want go ho-oome!" oh no.
how much does it break your heart to leave your child when he's crying? a lot. sigh. after a little while he was fine (phew!) and his teacher even said he was a great helper.
day two was not much better...but it's just the first week. hopefully he'll have so much fun at school that he'll start to look forward to it. poor ethan. he's so used to having isaiah or his other brothers around him and this is the first time he's on his own. it's a good thing...i hope he'll make some good friends of his own!

We start Lij tmrow! At his orientation last week, he somehow broke free from his class and found me wandering the halls. Then he ran off and rejoined them, calming his worried teacher.
We'll be praying that our 2nd
borns will blossom into their newly
acquired roles:)
oh my goodness, your boys are growing up so fast! i can't believe Ethan is in school already. does this mean we should try to hang out on a tuesday or thursday morning?
